This chart demonstrates the steps needed to give your vehicle an outstanding detail.
The chart was adapted from Chemical Guys, a professional detailing business
located in southern California, from which I obtain detailing products.

Because I care about my work, I want to give you the best quality detail possible. I want to give you a detail that is beyond your expectations.

     Detail: Level One Premium
A Level One Premium detail is the most common detail for a vehicle.  Depending on several factors, for example:  How long it has been since your last detail? Has your vehicle ever been detailed before? If so, did your vehicle have an “express" detail done to it? Do you take your vehicle to a local do-it-yourself car wash? These questions and more need to be answered in order to properly evaluate what type of detail your vehicle needs.  Whatever the outcome

You’ll be amazed at the final results!

Important Things to Know

  • Clear coats: Some vehicles have clear coats that are much thicker and harder today, which is good for the overall vehicle. Therefore, scratches may not be removable, but only diminished.  If a vehicle has a lot of deep scratches, wet sanding may show some improvement.  However, if a vehicle has a thin clear coat it would not be wise to attempt any significant correction.
  • Chipped paint: To get it fixed the proper way, the vehicle will need to be taken to an auto-body shop, but there are cheaper alternative methods that can be done depending on the extent of the damage.
  • Pine Tree Sap: Unless pine tree sap is removed quickly it can become extremely difficult to remove. Wet sanding is sometimes needed..  The process can take a very long time, depending on the amount of sap and how long it has been left on the vehicle.
  • Tar: Oftentimes while driving on a newly paved road, tar gets flung up around the wheel wells.  It can be difficult to remove but not impossible.  Although a properly detailed vehicle doesn’t prevent tar from adhering to the vehicle, it makes tar much easier to remove in the event that it would occur in the future.
  • Engines:  With a professional engine cleaning, you will see drastic improvement and the vehicle may even run better than before. However, some engines can become extremely dirty and require extra work to thoroughly clean.
  • Red and Black vehicles: Due to the nature of red and black paint, these vehicles oftentimes need additional care and the results may not be what you would expect for other color vehicles.
  • Express car wash centers: One of the worst things you can do is to run it through an automated car wash.  The soap that they use will eventually damage your clear coat and possibly destroy your car’s paint. And the brushes will cause many scratches and swirl marks.
  • Dish washing soap: Dish washing soap is just as bad and probably even worse than what is used at automated car wash centers.  These soaps will strip off any protective paint sealants and waxes that have been applied.
  • Water Marks: Depending on what is contained in the water, water marks can be fairly easy to remove if taken care of right away, especially if a vehicle has already had a proper detail.  However, without a proper detail, water marks can actually eat into the clear coat.  Therefore, in a worst case scenario, wet sanding by an auto-body shop would need to be done.  Watermarks on windows can also be difficult to remove.  Every attempt will be made to remove them.
  • Carpet/leather stains: Some stains are nearly impossible to remove (and may even look worse after cleaning them). However, every attempt will be made to remove or at least diminish them.
  • Pet Hair: In almost every instance pet hair will be difficult to remove and usually requires extra time.  You will never be able to get all of the pet hair removed in the carpet, but significant improvement is achievable.
